Results of Public Examinations
Over the years, the overall passing rates of our school in both the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination and Hong Kong Certificate Education Examination had been about 99% and the percentage of grades A to C was about 60% which were well above the overall Hong Kong averages.
The Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination was first launched in 2012. According to Ming Pao Daily News, our school’s first HKDSE Examination results ranked 12th among Hong Kong schools while for the past HKDSE Examinations, our results were far higher than the overall Hong Kong averages.
In 2025, our HKDSE Examination results are as follows:
- 87% of our F.6 students have obtained “332A” or better in the 4 core subjects, i.e. Chinese Language, English Language, Mathematics and Citizenship and Social Development (the Hong Kong average is 38%);
- 93% and 95% of our students have obtained level 3 or above in English Language and Chinese Language respectively. 56% of our students have obtained level 4 or above in Chinese Language (the Hong Kong averages are 54%, 64% and 33% respectively);
- 100% of our students have obtained level 2 or above in Mathematics and have obtained the level ‘Attained’ in Citizenship and Social Development. 22% of our students have obtained level 5 or above in Mathematics (the Hong Kong averages are 83%, 93% and 16% respectively);
- The overall percentages of attaining level 2 or above, level 3 or above, level 4 or above and level 5 or above of all subjects were 99.8%, 93%, 62% and 22% respectively (the overall Hong Kong results were 85%, 63%, 37% and 14%);
- 8 students obtained 30 marks or higher in their best 6 subjects; the student with the best results obtained 38 marks in the best 6 subjects and only 0.5% of all candidates attained this or better results this year.

Letters of recommendation and scholarships by local universities are received every year in commendation of our graduates’ outstanding academic attainments. In addition, different awards were awarded to our graduates in recognition of their outstanding achievements. Our alumna, Leong Ka Long Karen, was awarded the ASME Arthur L Williston Medal and is the first Hong Kong student winner of the award. In addition, Luk Kai Chit Angus was named on the 2020 Forbes 30 under 30 Asia List for his achievement in the Information Technology and Wong Cheuk Sum was selected as the Honouree on the Gen. T List 2022 as Leaders of Tomorrow shaping Asia’s future for his leadership in Innovation and Technology.
Our graduate, Leong Ka Karen Long, was awarded the 2016 ASME Arthur L Williston Medal and is the first Hong Kong student winner of the award.
Our graduate, Luk Kai Chit Angus, was named on the 2020 Forbes 30 under 30 Asia List
