Joint School Mock University Interview

25 Form 6 students of our school attended the Joint School Mock University Interview organised by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). The event was held at our school in the morning with a participation of nearly 100 Form 6 students from 8 secondary schools. Teaching staffs and student ambassadors from the HKUST conducted the interviews and gave advice and comments to the Form 6 students in preparation for university interviews, the student ambassadors also organised exams skills workshop for students.

'Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad Preliminary Round (Hong Kong Region) 2024-2025'
Our students participated in the 'Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad Preliminary Round (Hong Kong Region) 2024-2025' and won a total of 23 awards, including 4 Gold Awards, 9 Silver Awards and 10 Bronze Awards.
'Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad Semi-final (Hong Kong Region) 2024-2025'
Our students participated in the 'Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad Semi-final (Hong Kong Region) 2024-2025' and won 1 Gold Award, 2 Silver Awards, 3 Bronze Awards and 1 Merit Awards. Chan Nok Yin of Class 3B was the second-runner up in the "Secondary 3 Division".

'A Warm College' Healing Project with the School Cat
The Counselling and Guidance Committee of our school, the Community Welfare Youth League and the Parent-Teacher Association jointly organised the 'A Warm College", a healing project with the school cat. Workshops were organised for parents and students with activities including, understanding cat characteristics and daily care needs, cattery cleaning, cattery interior assembly, exterior layout design, cat toy-making, etc. Parents and students actively participated in the construction of the cattery.

Jockey Club Online Youth Emotional Support 'Open Up'
During lunch time, representatives of the Jockey Club Online Youth Emotional Support, 'Open Up', visited the school and organised emotional health game booths and exhibitions to help students understand their sources of stress, their mental health status as well as the way to recognize a suicidal crisis through interactive games.

Life Education Session
During the Life Education Session, various activities for Form 1 to 5 were held by different societies, such as drone workshops and visits to the Jockey Club Museum of Climate Change and Kai Tak Cruise Terminal. Form 6 students participated in the HKDSE "Easy Registration" app test and a stress-relieving workshop organised by the Young Women's Christian Association.

Dance Workshops
Professional dancers from the Hong Kong Dance Company (HKDC) organised dance workshops for our school's Dance Club members, teaching them the basic skills and body rhyme of Chinese dances and cultivate their ability to appreciate arts.

"Promoting Healthy Liver Programme 2024 - Hong Kong Primary and Secondary School Chinese Penmanship Competition"
Students of our school participated in the 'Promoting Healthy Liver Programme 2024 - Hong Kong Primary and Secondary School Chinese Penmanship Competition'. He Hedy of Class 4C won the Merit Award in the Senior Secondary Division and was awarded HK$400 at the award presentation ceremony.

Inter-School Athletics Competition 2024-2025
Ng Hei Yu of Class 4B participated in the Inter-School Athletics Competition 2024-2025 organized by the Schools Sports Federation of Hong Kong, China (Sha Tin and Sai Kung District), and achieved fourth place in the Girls' A Grade 100m Hurdles.

Pegasus Cup 2024-2025 Hong Kong Chinese and English Penmanship Competition
Siu Ka Yiu of Class 1B participated in the Pegasus Cup 2024-2025 Hong Kong Chinese and English Penmanship Competition organized by the Hong Kong Arts Education Association, and won the Gold Award in the Junior Secondary (English) category.

New Year Decoration Making Activity
Principal Chan Nga Lai, Vice Principal Ms. Leung Wing Yee, Ms. Kwok Fung Yee, Ms. Chow Kit Mei and Ms. Tai Lai Yi attended the New Year decoration making activity organised by our school's Parent-Teacher Association at the Multi-Purpose Centre. They joined the volunteers in writing spring couplets to welcome the New Year.

Weaving Dreams in the Care Career - Social Welfare Nursing Work Experience Program
Seven students from Form 4 and Form 5 at our school began participating in the Weaving Dreams in the Care Career - Social Welfare Nursing Work Experience Program organised by the Social Welfare Department's Sha Tin District Youth Service Local Committee since October in 2024. They engaged in various activities, including understanding social welfare nursing work and visiting elderly care centres. Ms. Tai Lai Yi, the Careers Mistress of our school's Career and Guidance Committee, was invited to attend the award ceremony with the seven students.

Writing Spring Couplets to Welcome the New Year
The school's moral education team held a Writing Spring Couplets to Welcome the New Year activity, where all students offered New Year's wishes to their parents, teachers, and classmates. This not only promotes the virtues of the Sha Tin people but also cultivates students' interest in Chinese calligraphy and preserves traditional Chinese culture.

Life Education
In the life education class, our school organized a variety of activities. Students from Form 1 to Form 3 participated in their first project learning session, with topics including 'Healthy Lifestyle and Personal Growth', 'Changes in Hong Kong Community and Culture', and 'Robotic Science'. Students from Form 4 and Form 5 attended a health education seminar titled 'If I Were in the Hong Kong Team' organized by Pocari Sweat, and an eye care seminar organized by Orbis. Form 6 students participated in a session where class teachers led students in reflection and sharing in preparation for the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination, followed by participation in the Orbis eye care seminar with Form 4 and Form 5 students.
