43rd Graduation Ceremony | |||||||
The 43rd Graduation Ceremony was held after the
flag-raising ceremony in the hall. Our alumnus, M. Wong Chuek Sum, CEO
and Co-founder of EventX, an innovative technology start-up company was
invited to be the officiating guest. Graduation certificates were presented
by Mr Wong, Mr. Chen Yuen Chin Andrew, Mr. Lee Yue Yung Jeffrey and Mr.
Jim Jimmy, our School Managers, while the Most Outstanding HKDSE Results
Award was presented by Mr. Chow Kwok Wah, the Honorary Chairperson of
Kiangsu Chekiang and Shanghai Residents (Hong Kong) Association. To add gaiety to the Graduation Ceremony, the English Musical performance and tea reception were arranged after the completion of the Ceremony. |

Lecture on "Generative Artificial Intelligence: Future Opportunities and Challenges" | |||||||
In the afternoon, Dr. Wang Hao, consultant of the PRECISE Center for Artificial Intelligence at the University of Pennsylvania, was invited to visit the school to deliver a lecture on "Generative Artificial Intelligence: Future Opportunities and Challenges" to Form 4 and Form 6 students as well as teachers and parents. Dr. Wang, currently working at the Amazon Web Services, is an expert in the field of AI Research and Development, holding a number of AI patents, and is committed to leading top enterprises to make breakthroughs in AI technology. The topic of this lecture was incorporated into Form 4 and Form 6 English Language classroom teaching, where relevant activities were designed by teachers to help students grasp the latest technological developments, promote cross-curricular language learning, and enhance critical thinking and multi-perspective analysis skills through learning activities inside and outside the classroom. | |||||||

On 7th December, the Dance Club of our school participated in "The 44th Yuen Long District Inter-School Dance Competition" co-organised by the Yuen Long District Arts Association and the Yuen Long Town Hall Management Committee, and won 3 Gold Awards with dances "Xiaohuo. Si xian. Ma yinghua", "Xiao" and "Shao Duoli". |

"Four Leaves: School Photography Exhibition & Into the Tiangong Space Station" | |||||||
In celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Citizenship and Social Development Department, the Life and Society Department, and the Citizenship, Economy and Society Department jointly organized the "Four Leaves: School Photography Exhibition & Into the Tiangong Space Station" Virtual Reality activity. The five-day exhibition aims to enable students learn more about the four aspects of Hong Kong youth, namely 'Study', 'Employment', 'Entrepreneurship' and 'Home ownership', as well as allowing students to experience a space odyssey. | |||||||

Thanks to the arrangement by the School Manager Mr. Chiu Man Chung, Principal Chan Nga Lai and Ms. Sin Ka Lai accompanied our students, who were to participate in the "Mock Trial Justice Education Project 2024-2025" organised by the SideBySide, to visit the office of Barrister Chung Hoi Ting in Central. Students attended training activities in which Ms. Chung and Mr. Chiu provided guidance on students' defence skills and offered professional advice on their performance in preparation for the competition to be held on 14th December. | |||||||

During Life Education Lessons, Other Learning Experiences (OLE) activities were organised at all forms, including Form 1 "School Life and Positive Concepts" training, Form 2 to Form 5 "Pet Care" talks and Form 6 "University Mock Interviews" to help students develop positive attitudes values, animal awareness, and preparation for university interviews. | |||||||

The Broadcasting Team of our school organised the "Sha Show" Student Talent Show at noon, where performances include solo singing and chorus. The show aims to provide students with opportunities to showcase their talents, build a sense of self-identity and enhance their self-confidence. During the performance, the student audience responded enthusiastically and the scene was filled with a joyful atmosphere. | |||||||

Our school participated in the "Mock Trial Justice Education Project 2024-2025" organised by the SideBySide, and the first round of the preliminary round was held at Court No.3 of the High Court. 7 participating students had outstanding performances, fully demonstrated their team spirit, and strived for the opportunity to qualify. | |||||||

Our students Ho Ching Yi and Zhu Pei Ying of Class 3A, Yiu Tsz Kiu of Class 3C and Mak Ashley of Class 3D formed the K-pop group "SAVE" and participated in the "Try it Once 2024" organised by the Hong Kong Young Women's Christian Association and the HKICC Lee Shau Kee School of Creativity. Vice Principal Ms. Ely Lee and the school social worker Ms. Wong Mei Yin led students to the event to enjoy the performance and give support to their peers. | |||||||

"Cheering for Exam" Booth Activity | |||||||
At lunchtime, social workers from the YWCA came to the school to organise a "Cheering for Exam" booth activity, which included an examination cheer board, maltose biscuit snack station and board games station. Furthermore, Vice Principal Ms. Ely Li, along with our students, Szeto Zi Yan and Wei Tsz Ki of Class 3A, and Tsai Evelyn of Class 6D, and together with our school social workers Ms Wong Mei Yin and Mr. Ku Yin Fung, give exceptional musical performances. | |||||||

Flag-Raising Ceremony | |||||||
The national flag-raising ceremony was held in the morning assembly. The flag was raised with the majestic national anthem by the school's Scout, where teachers and students stood solemnly, the ceremony was simple and grand. After that, Principal Chan gave a speech titled "New Year, New Hope". | |||||||
Christmas Celebration Events | |||||||
In the morning, the school and the Student Council jointly organized the Christmas Celebration Events, including dance performances and inter-class singing competitions in a lively atmosphere. In the afternoon, class teachers of each class led students to hold Christmas party, where students could relax and enjoy the arrival of the festival through interactive games. In addition, the school held a Casual Wear Day to raise funds for the Hong Kong Kidney Foundation, raising a total of HK$24,100. | |||||||
"Form 6 Growth Adventure Training" | |||||||
The Counselling and Guidance Committee of our school organised the "Form 6 Growth Adventure Training" to encourage students to break through their boundaries, enhance their problem-solving skills and develop leadership skills and team spirit through challenging activities. | |||||||

'Link University Scholarship 2024' for Year 1 studies | |||||||
The school received a letter from The Hong Kong Council of Social Service congratulating our alumnus Yeung Sen Hei on being awarded the 'Link University Scholarship 2024' for Year 1 studies in recognition of her outstanding results in the 2024 Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE). |
